Considering a vegan diet? Here are a list of examples of what to eat and what not to eat!

Dairy

What NOT To Eat

  • Milk (Cow’s Milk, Goat milk, etc.)
  • Cheese (All Kinds)

What to eat 

  • Almond Milk, Hemp Milk, Rice Milk
  • Cheese Substitute (Nutritional Yeast, Daiya, Homemade Vegan Cheese)
  • Vegan Ice Cream (Almond Dream, So Delicious Frozen Desserts)

Meats

What NOT to eat 

  • All meat are prohibited on a vegan diet
  • This includes fish, poultry, chicken, turkey, lamb, pork, etc.

What to eat

  • Meat substitutes (Jackfruit, Chickpeas, Beans, Mushrooms, Lentils, Tempeh)

    Misc.

    What NOT to eat

    • Eggs
    • Bee 🐝 products
    • Ingredients that are derived from animals

    What to eat

    • Plant foods
    • Nuts and seeds
    • Grains
    • Agave Nectar

    If you’re looking for a more healthier diet than you should be sure to get your daily requirements of fruits and vegetables. They may give you the best chance at achieving optimal nutrition. Here are some examples of nutrient rich foods to incorporate to your diet:

    • Leafy greens (Spinach, Kale, Arugula, Dandelion)
    • Bell Peppers
    • Onions
    • Tropical Fruits (Mango, Pineapple, Banana, Papaya, etc.)
    • Berries (Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Elderberry)
    • Citrus Fruits (Orange, Lemon, Lime, Pitaya, etc.)
    • Apples
    • Cucumber
    • Avocado
    • Tomato

      1. Go for it! Unfortunately, honey is not allowed. Although, I think Agave Nectar resembles honey really well! If you haven’t tried it yet look into it. It’s much sweeter than honey so you won’t have to use as much and there are different flavors so you can decide which one you like best😊

        1. Yeah stevia is another great option if you’re looking for less calories. Some brands contain prebiotics which can help feed the good bacteria in the gut. However, for some people it may upset their stomach. As long as it doesn’t bother you and you enjoy the taste it can be a great substitute sweetener!
