If you suffer from chronic pain, lack of energy, or you’re just hoping to improve your ability to perform day to day activities, maybe it’s time to roll out your yoga mat!
Yoga involves the practice of a series of physical, mental, and spiritual exercises.
If you’re like most people (or maybe just like me 😂) you may have seen a lot of super flexible girls on the internet performing what looks like impossible poses, and have decided yoga just isn’t for you. However, I’m here to tell you that just because you aren’t able to do the things they can do doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t benefit from doing yoga. There are so many different levels of yoga and it’s all about practicing at your own pace.
As a result, I’d like to share something personal with you. Last week I decided to embark on a 7-Day Yoga Challenge. It was AWESOME!!!
Now that the week is over I would like to share with you some of the benefits I personally experienced throughout the week!
🔹Reduced joint pain in my knees and ankles
🔹Less recovery time
🔹Boost of energy
Aside from those benefits it was an exhilarating experience. I practiced yoga with a group, on my own, and with a partner. Every one of those options had benefits all in it’s own.
🔹Practicing on my own allowed for more mental clarity and gave me time to focus on my individual goals.
🔹Working with my lovely partner Kristen allowed us to build a stronger connection with each other, all while having a ton of fun in the process.
🔹Lastly, practicing with a class full of Yogi apprentices of all ages on a mission to empower ourselves was very uplifting. I felt this method was the easiest to push myself because of all the great energy that surrounded me!
All in all, I really think you should give yoga a try. Who knows what you may discover about yourself or how much fun you might have!
